The Perfect Wedding Cake

All wedding cakes are bespoke and made to order. We can either design something for you or if you have something in mind, we can work with you to make a personal design for you. Using your wedding invitations, colours of ribbons and flowers or any other elements of your wedding can be shown to help design a bespoke cake just for you.
 
A non-refundable deposit of £50 will be required to secure your booking in the diary. Final payment of the balance must be made 4 weeks before the cake is collected or delivered.

Design

Ideas for cakes are endless and can be a very creative process. Your design may be based on a cake we have already done or something you have seen somewhere or thought of yourself.  Please send us your ideas and we are happy to create any style that suits you.

Inspiration

On the other hand, if you are struggling with ideas for your cake, google images would be a good place to start to search for some inspiration. You can then send over some of your favourite images to help me design the perfect cake for you.

I offer a completely free consultation service so that we can discuss your requirements, talk about the them of the wedding, the colour scheme, the size of the venue, the food menu and so on. It's important for me to find out as much information about your special day in order to create the perfect cake.

Allergies

We are not a gluten or dairy free kitchen so when ordering please state any allergies in advance so we can ensure to omit these from your cakes.

Deposits

Cake values over £50 will require a 25% deposit (non-refundable) to secure your order. Please note that your order can not be finalised or guaranteed without the required deposit.
 
The remaining amount of your balance is due 1 week prior to collection/delivery of your cake.
 
If you are ordering a cake with less than 1 weeks notice of your event, we ask for the full balance to be paid to secure your order.

Cake Storage

Please note, a cake should not be stored in direct sun light or kept in a car or van for a long period of time, especially on a hot day as it may melt.  A fridge is also not suitable to store an iced cake, unless it is a buttercream cake. The best way to store you cake is in a cool, dry environment.

Liability

Please note, once your cake is within your possession, Creative Cakes by Claire is unable to take any liability for any damage.

Delivery

If you require delivery, please discuss this with me and a delivery charge will be calculated and included with your quote.

Transport

Due to the delicate nature of cakes, we highly recommend you place the cake in the middle of the boot of your car on a non-slip mat, especially with tiered cakes. For smaller cakes, the footwell of your car would also be a suitable place. Both of these are flat surfaces which will allow the cake to lay flat on your journey, ensuring your cake will be transported safely.
